Juha Kuivanen
Juha Kuivanen (b. 1961) has been conductor of the Polytech Choir since 2004. One of the leading choral conductors in Finland today, he holds a diploma in conducting and a Master’s degree in music. In the course of his career he has also conducted the Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir, the Finnish Philharmonic Choir, the Radio Chamber Choir, the Tapiola Chamber Choir, the Chorus Cathedralis Aboensis in Turku, the Peter Schreier and other choirs. In autumn 2006 he was installed as Chorus Master at the Finnish National Opera. He also teaches choral conducting at the Sibelius Academy.
