Three first-rate choirs will take the stage at the Festival’s opening concert. A joyous evening of singing together and separately is promised. The massed choirs of 150 voices will ring out in the first performance of Anna-Mari Kähärä’s all things pass, specially commissioned for Choral Espoo, and Olli Kortekangas’s work Ikikaiku (The Everlasting Echo), which has been adapted for this performance. The tremendous fanfares of the SIGYN Baroque Trumpet Ensemble will bind the programme together like a pearl necklace.
